Happy 2024, Orchestra Families! I hope you enjoyed a wonderful Winter Break.
We are off and running with new music – Concert, Symphony, and Philharmonic Orchestras received new music during the week of January 8-12. Instruments should be going home for practicing.
ISSMA Solo/Ensemble is quickly approaching, on Saturday, January 27th. Students who are participating should have received a paper with a schedule of performances and other important information.
There are two events in February. First is Side-by-Side, open to all 8th graders. For those attending FHS, the concert is Wednesday, 2/7. For those attending HSEHS, the concert will be Thursday, 2/15.
Arts on the River is coming up on Friday, February 9th! Check out the RJH PTO page for all the info on this amazing school-wide fundraiser.
Our next round of full ensemble concerts is in March, please ensure the following dates are in your family calendar:
Wednesday, March 6th – ISSMA Preview Concert (7:00pm, Hawk Hall)
Friday, March 15th or Saturday, March 16th – ISSMA Organizational Contest (TBD, Hawk Hall)
6th Grade and Chamber Orchestras will be continuing their studies, learning new strings, notes, rhythms, and techniques. The next concert for these groups is in May.
